Mission StatementCompelled to join Christ in His mission to "set the captives free", The Freedom Source opens pathways to freedom from drug and alcohol addiction in Central Alabama by creating access for individuals, families and our community to knowledge, support, restoration, and healing.
The vision is two fold
- To build a free, flexible, relevant, usable website (www.thefreedomsource.com) containing access to help lines, links to terminology and facts about the various drugs, as well as key points of information about providers in the Central Alabama area, spanning the entire spectrum of service needs in alcohol and drug addiction.
- To stimulate and maintain a community conversation (via The Addiction Coalition) on pertinent strategic initiatives focused on reducing the impact of drug and alcohol addiction on individuals, families, and our community and helping develop resources to pursue impact reducing, projects while fostering collaboration among the professional support organizations.
